Women often face discrimination and unequal opportunities. To help address this, girls at our partner schools receive vocational training as part of their education, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and independence needed to succeed in the workforce, adapt to a changing world, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
The Gift of Hope is proud to support FFLV’s ‘Thread of Life’ programme at Tilak House, a women’s shelter that provides vulnerable women with training in embroidery and needlework. These vocational skills offer a pathway to financial independence, whether through self-employment or further opportunities created by partner organisations.
